    This is a
    Cabart oboe that looks and sounds very good.  It is an ebony wood oboe that has been successfully pinned twice. However it holds a good vacuum. The tendon size is 5/8 inch.
    Before ordering this item be sure to measure the diameter of the top tendon hole of your lower oboe joint to make sure that this top joint will fit the lower joint of your oboe. This top joint will replace your cracked  or damaged top joint. This is a wooden joint that does not have any remaining unrepaired cracks or damage. The serial number for this top joint is SI 477.  Cabart never kept or published a list of serial numbers so it is impossible to know how old this Cabart top joint is.
