ABOUT THIS ITEM
: This Renard by Fox model 333 student Oboe ser # 2462 dates from 1983, according to the serial number lookup on the Fox site. It was likely purchased used by the family consigning it with us, and was used by their player through high school, It has been in storage since (probably about 8-10 years). It is provided with a Pro-Tec case (used as well) furnished by the consignor. The original Fox case is long gone. This model sold new currently shows up in Woodwind & Brasswind listings for 00.
DETAILS AND CONDITION:
The instrument has a basic key setup, and this model did not come with the alternate keys and mechanisms of more advanced models. The instrument has decent condition cork pads throughout, except for the bottom three keys, which have good bladder skin pads. While there is no obvious damage, the plastic bell reverse is scratched from use. These is some plating wear, although I would consider it 95% intact. Since we are not double reed specialists, our oboe knowledge is limited. It seems to seal well, but we recommend that you assume the oboe will need basic cleaning and key polishing plus regulation for it to play its best. Please ask questions or for pictures of specific key areas if there is something you are concerned about.

SHIPPING:
We will pack carefully and securely and insured, and the winning buyer should wait for an invoice, because insurance price will vary with final value. Again, local pickup is available to save time, expense, and the stress of transport. If you have a UPS or FedEx account and wish to use your service, we can adjust the invoice to allow you to use your own shipper. Both shippers have dropoff stores near us.
