    Up for sale is this amazing A series Loree. I had truly hoped to overhaul this instrument and play it in chamber music, but realistically it is just sitting around collecting dust - time for it to go. Too much stuff!
    This was an exciting find for me. The oboe appears to have been used very little - seems like it just sat for many decades. T
    The body of the oboe is perfect. The top joint and bottom joint are absolutely perfect the wood grain is tight, smooth, and pristine. Never cracked, no repairs. Flawless. The bore looks perfect, shiny and smooth.
    The bell has a large crack in the usual spot from the tenon to the Bb tonehole, over the socket. Otherwise, the bell is perfect like the other two joints.
    The mechanism is beautiful. Very little wear - almost no noticeable signs of use. The keywork is tight and fluid. The silver plating is bright and lovely - 99%. I see no repairs to the keywork - it is all original. The instrument is full conservatory, but lacks left F - this will need to be added by an expert tech if desired.
    The oboe sat for many, many years - the pads are old and very dry. It will require a full overhaul by a master double reed expert to be in its top condition. After overhaul this will be an absolutely stunning instrument.
    The oboe will come in a brand new French case with case cover.
