Keyed to low Bb
Just overhauled and s
et-up by oboe maker Thomas Hiniker
Converted from full automatic octave system to become semi-automatic octave system by Thomas Hiniker
"Bleuzet system" mechanism for D#-E trill added by Thomas Hiniker
Has a "natural C key" for right index finger, an F resonance key, a "natural F" (E#) resonance key, alternate right hand Bb key, articulated C#, B-C link, Ab-Bb trill.
The original Heckel bell (comes with the instrument) is a "dud."  Thomas Hiniker designed and built a new bell (Cocobolo) for this instrument, and it matches the instrument beautifully.
3 original Heckel bocals.  The #3 length bocal seems to work best.  I would recommend pairing the instrument with a Hiniker #2B13 bocal (not included).
The instrument was cracked in the upper joint, though this crack has been expertly repaired
Original case in fine condition.  Non-original case cover.
This Heckel English horn plays well, no wild, unstable, or "wonky" notes.
I would say that this instrument would be best for a Heckel buff, Heckel collector/player.
