FOX RENARD MODEL 333 PROTEGE MODIFIED CONSERVATORY OBOE NICE

Description

Up for auction is a used Fox Renard model 333 modified conservatory oboe. The pads and key corks are in fair to good condition.  There are no cracks present or repaired and no bore issues exist.  This oboe doesn't have a left hand F key, but does have a low Bb bell key.  The serial number is in the mid 59xx range, which dates manufacture to approximately 1989.  This oboe has
minor surface scratches throughout from normal use and the lightly tarnished silver plated keys have approximately 95% of plating intact. This oboe has been shop adjusted/regulated for good play condition, but may require a minor adjustment after shipping. Included is a gently used Protec zippered oboe case, with shoulder strap.

The Fox Model 333 has a high quality plastic resin body that has been hand reamed and finished by Fox craftsmen. It features silver-plated posts, bands, and bell rings, stainless steel arbors and wire springs. It is equipped with nickel silver keys with 18% nickel silver hinge tubing and heavy silver plating.
Its handmade modified conservatory mechanism includes a left hand F key, F# key tab, and a solid (non-articulated) C# key
