Fox Renard 330 Artist Oboe. Semi-Pro, Left F, Low Bb Resonance. Immaculate!.
Up for sale is this immaculate Fox Renard Model 330 Artist and oboe.
The instrument is beautiful. It was used less than one year then sat in storage. There are only the smallest signs of use.
The oboe is a semi-pro model. The keywork includes all trills, articulated C#, left hand F, alternate C, F resonance key, low Bb, and Low Bb resonance key. The instrument has Fox’s renown keywork with heavy silver plating. The mechanism is tight, light and responsive. The body of the oboe is Fox’s patented synthetic material, so there is no risk of cracking.
The oboe plays easily from top to bottom with a lively dark, even sound and very even scale. Pitch is excellent. High register is very responsive. Pads and corks are original, in excellent condition, and show very little use.
The oboe comes in the original Fox case. The case is clean and functional, but does show a few scuffs and signs of wear from storage.
I’m a professional oboist and band director. I have cleaned and checked the instrument over myself. It is in excellent condition and ready to go. Texas (formerly) band director approved!
This instrument would be perfect for a highly advanced middle school or high school student. It would also make a great outdoor spare for a pro, or an easy playing, reliable instrument for a doubler. Fox instruments are high quality and durable. They are the most commonly recommended brand for schools.
