We use pet weight in our listing as a guide only. You must measure your pet to find what size wheelchair will fit your pet. Follow the instructions below on how to measure your pet and reference the how to measure photos.
1)
To measure the width:
Measure your pet's rear; middle and front just behind the front legs. Write down the widest measurement.
2)
To measure the length:
Measure from the center of the rear thigh to behind the front leg. Write down this measurement.
3)
To measure the height:
Your pet must be standing in a natural position or if paralyzed held up in this position. You will need another person to help you: Measure from the ground to the center of your pet's rear thigh. Write down this measurement.

THIS XS/S WHEELCHAIR IS DESIGNED TO FIT:
A width between 3.5 inches (88.9 mm) to a maximum of 6.5 inches (165.1 mm).
A length up to a maximum of 12 inches (304.8mm).
A leg height between 6 inches (152.4 mm) to a maximum of 10.5 inches (266.7 mm).

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
Q: Why do you use weight in your advertisements but say we must measure our pet for a proper fit?
A: Weight is only used as a guide to direct the buyer to that size which may fit their pet. You must measure your pet using our “How to measure your pet” written and photo instructions. Each adjustable wheelchair size will only adjust from its minimum to maximum adjustments. By measuring your pet this will tell you if that size will fit. If not then the buyer can look at the other adjustable sizes.
Q: I have a Medium size Dachshund that weighs 28 lbs. Why can’t I just order a Small to Medium size wheelchair?
A: We use XXS/XS; XS/S and S/M which refers to all dog breeds which that wheelchair is designed to fit. These sizes are not for a single breed. Most dog breeds have a mini; small; medium and large. If you have a medium sized Shepard; is it the same size and weight as a medium size Dachshund? No it is not. So don’t order the S/M because you have a medium size Dachshund. You must measure your pet. Your Dachshund may only need the XS/S wheelchair; the only way to find out is to measure your pet. Even though the XS/S says 12-25 lbs it may fit your dog because we use weight only as a guide.
Q: What are the weights of your dog Wheelchairs?
A: Our XXS/XS chair weighs 2 lbs; XS/S chair weighs 2.8 lbs; S/M chair weighs 3.4 lbs. Weights may vary slightly. They are light weight pet wheelchairs and one of the lightest on the market.
Q: Why do you offer a shorter return policy?
A: We do this for more then one reason. 1) The buyer will know within a week if it fits and will work for their pet. 2) In the past we had buyers use our wheelchair to rehabilitate their pet then at the end of the return period request a return; but don’t ship it back for another 2-3 weeks. Due to this reason we now require the buyer to have the return in transit to us with a tracking number supplied within 5 business days once we approve the return and issue a RMA number. Not doing so will void the return and  refund.
Q: How much knowledge do you have on what you build and sell?
A: A lot. We are the designer; manufacturer and seller. We can guide you through most any problem or question you may have. In order to design; build and sell we must know our wheelchairs. If you have a problem we are here to help. Were not like those resellers that sell foreign made dog wheelchairs along with hundreds of other items. These resellers buy dog wheelchairs in bulk and have no knowledge of a dog wheelchair. Besides that those wheelchairs are inferior in quality and will eventually bend or break.
Q: Are you veterinarian approved?
A: We are recommended not approved. Understand the Veterinarian Medical Board does not endorse products. We don't use the words “Veterinarian Approved” because it is misleading; making you think the Veterinarian Medical Board has approved it. We are recommended by veterinarians all over the
USA
because we have a solid quality built pet wheelchair. The various colors don’t hurt either.
Q: Why are your dog wheelchairs better then those inexpensive wheelchairs I see all over the internet?
A: Those inexpensive dog wheelchairs you are referring to are made in a foreign country where their quality standards are lax compared to
USA
standards. Their aluminum quality standards are inferior compared to ours here in the
USA
. Those wheelchairs bend easily. If you research them you will find complaints and photos of these problems. We use
USA
Aluminum which is superior in quality and strength compared to those inexpensive wheelchairs. Remember you get what you pay for.
Q: What are the key features on your wheelchair which make your wheelchairs better then those inexpensive ones?
A: Easy. We use quality materials. The cheap wheelchairs have two hollow round tubes which run to the front harness; they are hollow and in time will bend where they insert into the support block. We use solid aluminum rectangular bars which are resistant to bending and flex back. The inexpensive wheelchair legs are held in place with set screws which act like a vise and will constantly loosen and slip; which can cause injury to your pet. Our legs are held in place with screws and will not slip. The inexpensive wheelchairs use thin rope with thin pads to support a pet’s leg; which dig into a pet’s leg causing injury. We use thick large neoprene padding and strap which add to the support and comfort of a pet’s leg with no injury. Most cheap wheelchairs use cheap plastic wheels with no ball bearings which break in time. We use solid wheels with ball bearings; the same wheels used on a Childs scooter. The inexpensive wheelchairs use the cheapest quality materials in order to up their profits. We use high quality aluminum and powder coating manufactured in the

. We guarantee our wheelchairs; were the inexpensive wheelchairs do not.
Q: What is powder coating?
A: Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is typically applied electro statically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light. It provides superior performance than wet pain; much more resistant to chipping, scratching, and other wear because of the thermal bonding it undergoes during curing, and because it can be applied in much thicker layers. While it isn't indestructible, it is highly durable, retains color and gloss, goes on uniformly, has excellent UV stability and is a far more environmentally friendly option than traditional liquid paint.
Q: I want my dog to be as comfortable as possible while in his wheelchair. Can I make the seat thicker by adding more padding myself?
A: Yes you can. People buy pet cloth diapers for their pet which works well. You can also wrap 1 or 2 inch wide strips of thick fleece or other soft thick material around the seat by overlapping it each time you go around which will add padding. Have extra clean material strips so you can remove the dirty material to wash and have fresh clean strips ready. NOTE: Adding a diaper or extra seat padding will make your pet sit higher in the wheelchair. You will need to make a slight adjustment to the seat rings; by making the larger which will lower your pet in the seat. Our step by step written with photos instruction manual explains this.
RETURNED/REFUSED DELIVERY: All Returns must be approved by Pets and Wheels with a return RMA number issued. Returns without an approval or RMA number are automatically refused and sent back to the sender/buyer at their expense with the return policy and refund being voided. Authorized returns must be in like new condition with the tracking number supplied to Pets and Wheels. Returns are subject to restocking fees if not received in like new condition. Like new condition means no signs of usage; no damage to the powder coating: no ware and tear; no missing parts etc.
Once a return request has been made and approved; the buyer has 5 business days to generate a return shipping label and have the return in transit to the seller within these 5 business days. Not doing so will void the return policy and refund. The return must be in route to the seller within these 5 business days; unless another agreement was made between buyer and seller. This agreement is to be in writing via messaging.
Refused deliveries are subject to restock fees. Additional reimbursement fees for returned and refused deliveries will be applied for any shipping fees which the seller may have paid. Restock fees are on a case by case basis.
TRACKING NUMBERS: A tracking number is required to protect the seller from possible fraud and proof for the sender that an item has been sent within the 5 business days and delivered to the correct address. If the buyer does not give or refuses to give the seller the tracking number then this will void the return policy and refund with the item being refused and sent back to the buyer. Pets and Wheels reserve the right to refuse any return for any reason.

DAMAGED PACKAGE: Do not sign for any damaged packages. If a delivery is damaged; refuse delivery and contact us ASAP for replacement. By signing for a delivery this confirms the shipment was received undamaged.
QUALITY INSPECTION: Each shipment is individually packaged and inspected for quality. Inspected for all parts, hardware etc. Making sure your shipment goes out complete.
INTERNATIONAL SALES: For purchases and returns outside of the United States the buyer is responsible for all import, export, tariff or duty taxes.
