    Description

    Up for sale is a very nice full size Black-Bellied Shorebird decoy by
    Dave Rhodes, it is about 10" long by 9.5" tall and just over 2 3/4" wide, it is signed and was made in the early 1980's. The condition of this carving is in very good/mint condition and it is was made to look as it was used for hunting.
    Dave Rhodes was a New Jersey decoy carver for over fifty years, in 2004 he was selected "carver of the year" by the New Jersey Decoy Collectors Association. He has also been mentioned in books and you can find some of his work at the Ward Musuem in Salisbury Maryland. I wanted to add to those of you who followed Daves work. That he past away on April 6, 2019 and that he will be missed.
