Antique Vintage Edwardian Bird Sparrow Cheese Keeper Dome Dish
Available is this antique cheese dome.  It is a large piece, porcelain with an unusual bird theme.  The piece has no markings, but is Staffordshire in style.  The base is 10 inches long at the point by 8 inches wide.  The dome measures an additional 5.25 inches tall.
It is a looker but does have some condition issues.  There is significant crazing and staining to the piece, as well as some small fleabites on the corners.  The base has gilding paint loss around the rims, crazing and quite a bit of staining.  The dome has some gold gilding loss around the bottom rim as well, and it shows age, shelf wear and use.  It appears to be all hand painted and not a transfer design.  The trees are constructed with sponge painting, and there are gold accents throughout.
